Happy Anniversary To us!!!

Last Friday we celebrated our Anniversary!

If I was more savy with the computer I might try and attempt posting a picture of us from way back when. But since I'm not you'll just have to believe that we use to look a lot younger than we do now.

First Date and Prom!

A couple of weekends ago Ryan had his first date. Since only Juniors and Seniors get to go to prom a girl from our church organized a prom. Here's Ryan with his date (first real date)! Aren't they cute?

He got to practice his Gentlemen skills while he put on her corsage. He also spent time shopping for just the right tie to match her dress.

They got together with another group of kids and all had dinner at another friends house before the dance.

These boys are learning how to be patient while waiting on girls.

Off they go to dance the night away.

Oh My Word!

I have been In the process of trying to make a new website

for my business - "Oh My Word" - But since I am not only the owner but I'm also the manufacturer, bookkeeper, secretary and so on.... the web site seems to keep taking back burner. I thought I would go ahead and put my newest project on my blog. Isn't it cute?

One "HAIL" of a storm!!!

Last night we had a huge storm roll in. It was windy then dark and lightning and then it started to pour down rain. Then the excitement started, Hail was pounding on the roof. It was so loud!! So we did what any smart person would do we ran out side to check out how big it was. And this it what we found:

Notice how dark it is outside. It was a little frightening, yet gave us some entertainment for about 15 minutes. Then this is what it looked like:

I guess that West Texas storm left as fast as it came!!!

(Thank goodness all our vehicles were parked safely in the garage!)

Happy Spring Break!!

For Spring Break we took a trip to Arizona to visit our great friends the Allen's. They were great hosts!!! We had a wonderful time and enjoyed the warm sunny weather. For lack of coming up with my own words here is a quote from my friend Tami's weekly tidbit newsletter. (She summed it up well)

A couple of the highlights were when we went to a spring training cubs game. It was hot and sunny and very crowded but we were able to score some decent seats.

One of the really big highlights for the boys was when we went to a Phoenix Suns Basketball game. We ended up getting there a little early whih turned out to be a great thing because Brandon was asked to be the ball boy.

This turned out to be a good thing for all of us because we got to sit on the courtside seats instead of the crappy 2nd to last row seats that we payed for.

Her they are sitting courtside - waiting for Shaq and Grant Hill to come out. Oh yeah did I mention that Brandon gets to meet Grant Hilll and take his picture with him. Were a little jealous but were just glad we get a little front row action. Finally the moment arrives when the players come out. And were like 5 feet away from them. Shaq looks right at me so what do I do? Well I take his picture of course!!!

But the game was awesome fun anyway and we enjoyed coopersville afterwards for some yummy dinner!

A little shout out for our friend Aubree who won State champ in her 200 back at her swim meet ( this is why you don't see her or Tami in these game pictures) She was busy winning State titles!!! Way to go Aubree!!!

Las Vegas Temple

Fun weekend with great Friends!

This past weekenend we took an extra long weekend trip to Vegas. We had a ton of fun and enjoyed being with good friends. My wonderful Dad came down and stayed with the boys & held down the fort while we were away - Thanks DAD!

We crammed a lot into the four days that we were all there. We stayed at the Mandalay Bay and we enjoyed our stay there.
